Guardians of the world's oldest living giants
Giant sequoias have stood for over 3,000 years. Sequoia Sentinels protects these irreplaceable groves through restoration, wildfire resilience, and community stewardship—so they endure for millennia more.

The tallest trees on Earth can't protect themselves
Drought, high-intensity wildfire, and habitat loss now threaten groves that survived for thousands of years. A single catastrophic fire can erase trees older than recorded history in a matter of hours.
Sequoia Sentinels works alongside scientists, land managers, and local communities to reduce fuel loads, restore fire-adapted ecosystems, and replant where the giants have been lost. Every acre we protect is a promise to the next several thousand years.
- Fuel reduction to prevent catastrophic fire
- Long-term monitoring of forest health
- Seedling nursery and access to other seedling providers
- Free planting help and consultations to property holders
Four ways we keep the giants standing
Wildfire Resilience
We do forest thinning that clears dangerous fuel buildup, giving groves a fighting chance against fires.
Grove Restoration
Our nursery grows native sequoia seedlings from seed, and also provide alternate seedling sources, to plant areas hit hardest by recent fires and drought.
Forest Science
We track canopy health, soil moisture, and regeneration, turning data into conservation strategies that actually work.
Community Stewardship
Volunteers, students, and our partnerships keep our community at the heart of everything we protect.
Roll up your sleeves for the forest
You don't need to be a scientist to make a difference. Join a planting day, adopt a tree, or become a sustaining member. Every hand and every dollar helps the giants endure.
